Here's another one......

Remote to the sound system.....taken to bathroom while unloading groceries(bathroom door supposed to be closed). Miss G drops it into the toilet.....there is still water running out of it...pretty sure it will never be the same. And pretty sure she is way different than LM at this age. I'm thinking two kids is quite enough for me~~

Mmmmm.....dog water

Just found Miss G in the dog water in the laundry room. I forgot to close the door and heard splashing while in the other room helping LM put his pants back on after pottying. ...splash , splash.....nothing unusual she has done this before.
WHAT SHE HASN'T DONE is knock over the bowl and leave it perched halfway on its water stand in order to bend over and lap it up like a dog. Oh yeah, she was lapping it up like a dog. What do you do but laugh??? And get really grossed out.....

So glad to be home...

As I put LM to bed the other night he looks up at me and says:
"Mommy, I am so glad to be home...I like my room and my bed." It was so sweet. I guess kids just love the familiarity and comfort of home just like we do.
He also informed me and everyone else in the Target bathroom that "daddy doesnt' have to wipe his peepee mommy, he just shakes and is all done"
*** Now , mind you this is the second time he has mentioned daddy and his unmentionables in relation to pottying in the Target bathroom for some reason....and all the ladies in there find it hilarious. You never know what will come out of that mouth.
Miss G. has taken off and is walking so well.....I am so surprised that she is already turning corners on her own and just basically walking to where she wants. Beau and I laid on the floor yesterday and she managed to maneuver around us while walking as if walking through a maze. Just like her brother she just waited until she gained the confidence and it's all systems go now.
They both have been cracking me up so much lately amongst the timeouts, fighting, snatching and all around naughtiness I do catch glimpses that they love each other.....but not while sitting side by side in the Costco cart...that's just a mess..but a funny mess.
While at dinner tonight we ordered LM an Oreo sundae. He loved it, we all shared and he didn't mind at all but the funniest part was when he looked at me and said "Mommy, I have a brain freeze!" I said " Wow, buddy , where does it hurt?" And in his best pitiful voice he rubbed his tummy and said " it hurts right here in my brain mommy". Now, if that's not cute, what is?? ~

Just over a year.....

Miss G is changing so fast. In just the last few weeks she has begun to do new things....it's fun watching her learn something everyday. She is now standing and trying to take a few steps. She loves to put her hand to her ear when you say hello or hi just like w/ the telephone. She is trying to say LM's name and barks at the dogs when they talk or bark. She learned yesterday to climb up into LM's toddler bed and they think it's the best new thing ever. I say "they" b/c he is loving having sissy climb in his bed and play and jump with him. She has already tumbled out twice and it doesn't phase her at all. She is one tough little munchkin....but I can't soak up enough of her little smiles with those new teeth. And hope you all noticed the hair cuts....wasn't a big fan of doing it but now G looks like a little pixie and LM is all cleaned up. It was tough to cut all the curls off but it will grow back and it was making daddy crazy. I gave her the first haircut from w/ help from Mimi and Aunt Reena.

Alabama

Lots has happened since the last post. Daddy made it home, we are readjusting to life as a family...kids love having him home...dogs too :)

We have a now one year old and 3 yr old after many birthday celebrations. A birthday party which was fun but as daddy called it "total chaos". Two more birthday celebrations in AL where the kids got way too many presents. I think there will have to be a limit from now on especially when we are traveling by plane but I suppose that is what grandparents do right?

We arrived home after our two week trip to AL and are catching up on sleep , unpacking and trying to rid our home of the rodent who moved in while we were away. You guessed it, we have a nasty mouse. There have been many casualties of the stuffed animal variety that are being tossed because our friendly visitor tried to make his home in many of them. I have disinfected, sprayed, steamed all of it to get rid of any evidence of him and hope to catch him. LM doesn't understand that it's not the kind like Mickey and we don't want him living with us.
AL was fun...not relaxing at all but hey we had a good time and the kids liked the beach and pool and having fun at the farm. Beautiful weather while we were there and it's been nice since we returned home--hope we brought it with us. We visited the zoo while home and it was blazin hot....I really thought my kids would melt...I thought I would melt but we survived. LM had fun fishing w/ Avo and Paw paw and caught a few fish and met a rather friendly blue heron named Charley. The travel was brutal with G. She decided to start cutting not one, two or even three teeth. She just decided to start cutting about 6 at one time. Molars nonetheless. So that made for a great ride there and back not to mention a long wait to take off in Houston...but we survived that as well and my vow to never travel on a plane w/ two kids again is standing. LM is great, easy and daddy even said so at which point I quickly reminded him that we have TWO children and cant' leave the other one at home so that somewhat limits our travel. :)
Miss G is close to walking by herself. She is starting to take a few steps and then squats back down to crawl......soon though she's going to take off.
LM is starting to help out with G when he wants and the other times he is busy pushing, shoving and stealing toys from her. She is going to be one tough cookie so he better watch out ---payback isn't fun.
Some pictures are to follow of some of our trip.........
