2 months , 2 years ago......

LM at 9 weeks and Miss G at 9 weeks.....striking resemblance but thank goodness she didn't get those ears ;)

Pitstop

LM : "pitstop"

Gigi and Mommy "WHAT did he say?"

LM: "pitstop"........

G and M still looking at each other quizzically.....huh? Finally figured he is using his Guido from Cars italian accent to say "pitstop" not "p_____d off" . It was funny once we figured he wasn't saying a bad word.

Just one of themany funny things going on around here these days. Gigi is visiting and we are having a great time and she has been a huge help. LM had a great time in his Mcqueen sprinkler the other day (see attached photos) and we have been busy visiting jungle playland , parks and playing with our new trains from Aunt K. BTW Aunt K , LM took Henry in the backyard to see all the sailboats last week during race week and held him up to the fence to see over.....very cute.

Miss G is growing so fast I can't keep up with her. She is cooing and holding her head up, smiles a lot and weighs in at almost 13 lbs now. She is just doing great! Sleeping pretty well and all around we are doing fine..........especially considering daddy left last week. That part stinks but I think we were all ready for it to start so it will hurry up and be done. It was a tough goodbye but I think I held it together pretty well so LM didn't get upset and I seem to be doing well.....LM too. We have been able to talk to daddy twice and email a bit since he arrived in country and now we have an address and a bunch of requests for stuff to send him so that is keeping us busy.

Hope you enjoy the attached photos.....newest of my two angels......well , of my little wild man and my little spitfire.....angels sounded so much sweeter, huh?

Hey babe........

While sitting at the dinner table last night daddy says, " hey babe, can you hand me_____?"
then says......" thanks babe".
So then LM asks for something and I hand it to him and he matter of factly looks at me and says, "thanks babe" . Gotta love it!
We all cracked up. Daddy's parents are here visiting and helping with the kids. We are having a good time and soaking up daddy before he leaves. Thank goodness they are here to help with the transition.

GOOOOOOOOALLLLL.........

So LM had his first soccer "game" or scramble we should say. His buddies are playing too ..mostly instructional with fun games. It was hilarious. We got him shin guards and shorts to look like a soccer player and since daddy is home for a visit it was perfect timing for LM's first sports event ever. I could see the proud smile on daddy's face as all daddies would be so excited for this day to come.

We arrive and it's a free for all with jerseys, flags, balls, etc. Not one kid is listening to Coach Rick and they boys in true playgroup fashion take off one after the other to go look at the kids at the skate park. Great..we have a bunch of skater dude kids :) So, they continue to run around and it becomes the longest thirty minutes of daddy's life I think. His grin began to fade and he began shaking his head in the harsh realization that we didn't have a soccer sensation on our hands. All in all it was fun and we even left with a banged up knee and head with sweat dripping down his head and dirty shoes and shin guards......just like a real soccer player.

My cup runneth over.......

I had such a sweet day w/ LM. He first did the boo boo thing from the previous post. This afternoon on this glorious sunny day we were having I had Miss G down and went outside with my boy who by this time had stripped his shoes off and was running through the sprinkler with his bubble mower.
As I sat down in my adirondack chair he looked at me and said :
"LM sit with mommy" get chair"
"Okay, buddy, do you need help"
"no thank you mommy, sit by mommy"
Puts his chair right next to mine....hands in lap and smiles at me and says "sit by mommy, watching sprinkler"
What a sweet boy....just wanted to be close and sit by his mommy. May he always be this sweet and want to cuddle and read a book at the end of the day, tell me he loves me for no reason and give me that sweet grin. Lord, please keep him this sweet towards his mommy because some days it gets me through the day without falling apart when he gives me that grin......how blessed am I to have two beautiful children and be given the honor of raising them. Again, Lord please help me to do it right and without too many M&M's for bribery :)

P.S. Did I mention that he decided to run around the yard naked and spread his legs and pee pee on the grass....so proud of himself. Then ran around in Cars underwear the rest of the afternoon before coming in and peeing on my couch , his pants, my pillows and a blanket....it was GREAT! Then he decided to pee pee on the potty 2 times in a row after peeing on himself.....guess he didn't like that feeling , huh?

Mommy's boo boo

Mommy has a booboo on her "pace".....in other words I have an old fashioned pimple...it's great. Just in time for daddy's visit , right? Anyway, LM looks intensely at the "booboo" as we'll call it and very matter of factly says Mommy have booboo on pace....
"Yes, buddy, I have booboo on face."
"Mommy, LM kiss booboon on pace"
Isn't that too cute? And hey, it's all better now :)

Cars.....

.....can be detrimental do your sanity. No, not the kind we drive but the movie. Seriously, I have seen Cars at least 50 times. With the lack of decent sleep, being mentally exhausted from trying to outsmart a two year old and housework I have found myself reciting witty lines from the movie and cracking up at myself. Am I going crazy? Maybe it's time I need an adult day :)

Here's a scene from just one minute of my day that leads me to seek refuge in the wit of Pixar animation:

LM spots a car I have been saving for "motivation" shall we call it:
Want Doc, mommy...see it up there (on top of fridge)
Mommy: Baby, you have to be a good boy and be obedient and kind without screaming and being ugly before you can have Doc.
LM: Sorry, mommy (because sorry makes everything all better)
Mommy: No, baby , you don't have to say sorry you just have to be nice and obedient today and you can have doc.
LM: WAAAANNNNT DOOOOOOOOC
Mommy: That's not being obedient, can you be a good boy?
LM: Sorry, mommy
Mommy: (in my head) where is doc, sick of fighting with a two year old and trying to explain obedience.......
So I get parent of the year....right?
