God, I need help please

This is what I heard from LM a few nights ago as we said prayers, read books, got all tucked in.
We have been explaining our faith to him....who God and Jesus are....how we can talk to them, etc. He says "God is here to protect me always, right Mommy? " Yes, baby , He is.
Now lately we have been letting him know that we can talk to God anytime we want, He's always listening when we need help or want to pray to Him. So after prayers this is what we got:
Mommy: "Anything you want to talk to God about baby?"
LM: " yes, I want to ask Him to watch over my puppies and protect my libary (and I mean libary b/c that's how he says it) books."
Mommy: "anything else --maybe about your sister"
LM: "oh yeah --God help me be nice to my sister--because I NEED help being nice to my sister"
I nearly died laughing so hard. So , so cute~ At least he has a problem and he acknowledges it and knows he NEEDS help sharing, being nice to his sister....... :)

My little tennis star

This weekend was great. Have had a great time with the kids lately..they are cracking me up.
G is "marching" which means she is just lifting one leg really high and slamming it down and cracking up while "marching"..Daddy says she looks like she is part of the Iranian guard :)
LM is so proud of himself for swim class. He moved up to next level regular class instead of preschool b/c he finally put his face in and was by the end dunking his head almost swimming underwater.
We stayed home this weekend but were extremely busy with a girl night out Friday night with a good friend. Then we got busy Sat. with a baby shower for our good friend Kelley. While I prepped and got it all together daddy took the kids out to the museum in Burlington and to lunch. They had a good time and LM came home saying "breaker, breaker 19...." since he and daddy played on a crane at the museum and talked on the cb radios.
G is saying so many new things but not quite recognizable to others besides us yet. A trip to Spokane in the works right now for the weekend to meet Mimi, Paw, paw, Uncle Bubba and Aunt Reena before they head up to Glacier. It's going to be so nice to see them and they won't believe how much the kids have changed.....heck I look at them everyday and can't believe it.
So, the tennis story...at the fine establishment of Wal Mart we were looking at some things in the sporting goods dept and LM said "Mommy, I want to play tennis" I want a tennis racquet".
Oh, how I've waited for this day...dreamed of this day and got so excited. I had my hopes up of course and we took him out to the courts and here's what happened. I tried my introductory tennis lesson.....he only wanted to hit the ball to the ground, not interested in bouncing it or keeping his eye on it at all, etc. So it lasted a few minutes and then he said , "Can't I just throw it to daddy on the other side?" Oh well, he was interested in it at least and hopefully next time it will go better....I did help him hold his racquet and play w/ the ball a little and hit it...but when he dropped the racquet G was very interested and picked it up and tried to start hitting th eball. I will have a tennis player yet!!!!! Then she started eating rocks on the courts.
It did make me realize how much I missed tennis and living in the NW doesn't agree with that at all. It's not so popular or easy to play here.....with hurricane force winds and so much rain it's not exactly the sport of choice so looking forward to moving to the East Coast soon and getting back into it.

Camping trial run

Our first camping in the trailer trial run was done at Jim Creek and it was beautiful. Surrounded by the mountains on all sides with a little drive to the Twin Lakes (which aren't that big but beautiful scenery) .....the kids had a blast. If we had a little corral for G we'd be doing great...she wanted to run and play and eat everything she saw. She did have a great time getting in and out of her little chair , falling out of LM's chair and gathering sticks and rocks to put in the wagon.
The sweet pups were just so happy to go with us they behaved very well for fear of not being allowed to go back with us :) They all found special spots to sleep in the trailer and Mattie decided hers was with LM at his feet which he loved. He told us Mattie needed to sleep with him to keep his feet warm the second night.
We made smores , hot dogs, had ice cream, went on lots of walks and a few trails and just hung out together--no phones, no computer, just us and it was glorious!! I hope that was the first of many adventures in our little camper.

Swim lessons~~

The kids have been enjoying swim lessons and LM is back into them again while Miss G is taking a break right now. We have no worries she'll love swimming while LM is so afraid of getting his head wet and face in the water we figured we'd stick with it a while longer.
Here's a few pics of their swim lessons and a video....

Lake days

We finally took a little vacation just the four of us for a few days and went over to Lake Chelan here in WA. It was this little (not so little really) lake situated in the mountains / desert mountains with beaches and warm water (relatively speaking). We arrived at the resort and immediately got on swimsuits and sunscreen to hop in the pools....it was so nice to be somewhere that the water was warm unlike the island. The kids had a great time at the lake, pools and the waterpark we visited. The waterpark was a blast. LM wouldn't go down many slides while G was happily signing "more, more" to do it again and again. A great time was had by all mostly ....except for nighttime sleeping. G was WILD ....wouldn't sleep, banging on the walls next to her pack n play and trying to wake her brother. Needless to say they slept great when we returned home to their beds.
The big move is looming with still no orders even though it's coming up in about two months supposedly. LM starts school here in OH soon and is very excited about that ....kind of sad we'll have to rip him out of school just when he's getting comfortable but he usually adjusts pretty well although he keeps telling me he doesn't want to leave this house....he likes our house and he doesn't want to move. Should be interesting!
He had a great time at E's birthday party this weekend and was so happy to see all of his friends. G was just happy there were people to share food with..she's not much into socialization w/ kids her age--we gotta work on that.
Pics coming this evening maybe of our lake trip and a few others that I've taken recently....
