Alabama

Lots has happened since the last post. Daddy made it home, we are readjusting to life as a family...kids love having him home...dogs too :)

We have a now one year old and 3 yr old after many birthday celebrations. A birthday party which was fun but as daddy called it "total chaos". Two more birthday celebrations in AL where the kids got way too many presents. I think there will have to be a limit from now on especially when we are traveling by plane but I suppose that is what grandparents do right?

We arrived home after our two week trip to AL and are catching up on sleep , unpacking and trying to rid our home of the rodent who moved in while we were away. You guessed it, we have a nasty mouse. There have been many casualties of the stuffed animal variety that are being tossed because our friendly visitor tried to make his home in many of them. I have disinfected, sprayed, steamed all of it to get rid of any evidence of him and hope to catch him. LM doesn't understand that it's not the kind like Mickey and we don't want him living with us.
AL was fun...not relaxing at all but hey we had a good time and the kids liked the beach and pool and having fun at the farm. Beautiful weather while we were there and it's been nice since we returned home--hope we brought it with us. We visited the zoo while home and it was blazin hot....I really thought my kids would melt...I thought I would melt but we survived. LM had fun fishing w/ Avo and Paw paw and caught a few fish and met a rather friendly blue heron named Charley. The travel was brutal with G. She decided to start cutting not one, two or even three teeth. She just decided to start cutting about 6 at one time. Molars nonetheless. So that made for a great ride there and back not to mention a long wait to take off in Houston...but we survived that as well and my vow to never travel on a plane w/ two kids again is standing. LM is great, easy and daddy even said so at which point I quickly reminded him that we have TWO children and cant' leave the other one at home so that somewhat limits our travel. :)
Miss G is close to walking by herself. She is starting to take a few steps and then squats back down to crawl......soon though she's going to take off.
LM is starting to help out with G when he wants and the other times he is busy pushing, shoving and stealing toys from her. She is going to be one tough cookie so he better watch out ---payback isn't fun.
Some pictures are to follow of some of our trip.........

Yes, I fully agree...babies don't travel peacefully until they're 3! At least that's the magic age for Joel. Love the pics...esp the one of G planting a big one on your nose!!! So sweet.
